The need has never been greater for conscious and sustainable farming, living and eating. This call is being tackled by a growing number of companies and individuals.
One such company - EARTH PRODUCTS - was started by its founder Har Bhajan in the early eighties with the sole dedication to provide natural, organic and uncontaminated food. Every single item purchased is scrutinised and, in instances, sent of for residue testing before it is passed on to the consumer. Farms are checked for organic certification and fair labour practices. Earth Products' aim is to empower the local small farmer and indeed help heal the earth by actively supporting practical sustainability.
Earth Products operates and manufactures from factory premises in Randburg, Johannesburg with a small contingent of highly dedicated staff. At this site Har Bhajan created his custom-made tofu plant. Currently one of the largest plants in Africa, GM free tofu is produced daily for distribution to health food stores around the country, Pick 'n Pay, Spar, and Checkers.
